The Slack integration gives you three powerful ways to work with Janet AI: 1. Capture Reports via Emoji Reactions: React to any Slack message with a configured emoji and Janet AI instantly turns that message into a ticket — no commands needed. 2. Collect Issue Reports via Slash Commands: Workspace members and customers use /bug-report and /feature-request to submit issues that Janet AI automatically processes into tickets. 3. Chat with Janet AI in Slack: Tag @Janet AI in any Slack thread to use all of Janet AI’s chat capabilities (create tickets, search, update, comment) directly from Slack.

Collecting Issue Reports

Navigate to Integrations → Slack to install the Janet AI Slack app. Janet AI analyzes each submission and automatically creates tickets in your selected projects. All reports — from slash commands and emoji reactions — are aggregated on the Reports page, where you can track status and reply to reporters.

Emoji Reactions

React to any Slack message with a configured emoji to instantly create a ticket — no commands or forms needed. Navigate to Integrations → Slack → Emoji Reaction Rules to configure:
  • Emoji — Which emoji triggers ticket creation (e.g., :ticket:, :red_circle:, :large_blue_circle:)
  • Project — Which project the ticket is created in
  • Column — Which column to place the ticket in (defaults to the first column if unset)
  • Reactor scope — Controls who can trigger ticket creation by reacting:
    • Org members only — Only your internal team can react to create tickets, regardless of who sent the original message
    • Anyone — External connections (including customers) can react to their own messages to create tickets, without your team needing to be in the loop
When triggered, Janet AI reads the message, classifies the task type (Bug, Feature, Task, Story, or Epic), creates the ticket, and replies in the Slack thread with a link.

Slash Commands

Workspace members use these commands to submit reports:
  • /bug-report — Submit a bug report with description
  • /feature-request — Submit a feature request with description
