How It Works

Navigate to Integrations → Jira in your organization dashboard to access the import wizard. The wizard guides you through connecting your Jira instance, mapping projects and fields, then importing all your data. Jira Import Wizard

Import Workflow

API Key Setup

Enter your Jira credentials:
  • Jira domain (e.g., yourcompany.atlassian.net)
  • Email address associated with your Jira account
  • API token generated from Jira
Janet AI validates your credentials and connects to your Jira instance

Project Mapping

View all available Jira projects, then select which ones to import. Map each selected Jira project to a corresponding Janet AI project.Note: Multiple Jira projects can map to one Janet AI project.

Field Mapping

Map Jira fields to Janet AI fields:
  • Standard Fields: Map summary, description, status, priority, assignee
  • Custom Fields: Map Jira custom fields to Janet AI custom fields
  • Priorities: Map Jira priorities (Low/High/Critical) to Janet AI priorities
  • Statuses: Map Jira statuses to Janet AI ticket statuses

Run Import

Review the import preview showing total issues to import, then start the batch import process. Monitor progress as tickets, attachments, and metadata transfer. When complete, view the results summary showing successes and any failures.
