How It Works

Navigate to Integrations → CSV in your organization dashboard to access the import wizard. The wizard guides you through uploading your CSV file, mapping projects and fields, then importing all your tickets.

Import Workflow

1

Upload CSV

Upload your CSV file containing ticket data. The first row should contain column headers.Janet AI automatically parses the CSV and shows you a preview of the headers and first few rows to verify the data is correct.
2

Project Mapping

Choose how to map CSV rows to Janet AI projects:Option 1: Single Project
  • Map all tickets to one Janet AI project
Option 2: Column-based Mapping
  • Select a CSV column to use for project routing
  • Map each unique value in that column (including empty values) to different Janet AI projects
  • Allows importing tickets to multiple projects from a single CSV file
3

Field Mapping

For each project, map CSV columns to Janet AI fields:Required Fields:
  • Title: Column containing ticket titles
  • Status: Column containing ticket status/column (maps to project columns)
Optional Fields:
  • Description: Ticket description text
  • Issue Type: Maps CSV values to Task, Bug, Story, or Epic
  • Priority: Maps CSV values to Low, Medium, High, or Critical
  • Due Date: Specify the date format used in your CSV (e.g., MM-DD-YYYY)
  • Tags: Column with comma-separated tags (separator is configurable)
  • Assignees: Maps CSV values to project users
Each field with value mappings allows you to map CSV values to Janet AI values. For example, map “P1” to “Critical” or “In Progress” to your project’s “Doing” column.
